YOTEL, located in New York, United States, design by Rockwell Group, a new hotel concept, will be opening for business in New York’s Times Square with a 669 cabin property. Designed by the Rockwell Group in collaboration with Softroom, it will be the largest hotel opening in New York in 2011. The hotel will form part of Related Company’s 1.2 million sq ft, 60 storey complex which will include residential units and the Frank Gehry Signature Theatre.
Inspired by first class airline cabins, founder of YO! Simon Woodroffe and YOTEL CEO Gerard Greene conceived the cabins to provide first class hotel experience at affordable prices. The flagship property will offer customers 170 sq ft rooms with luxury bedding, monsoon rain showers, mood lighting and YOTEL’s ‘techno wall’ with flat-screen TV, and complimentary WiFi.
