wNw Cafe that located in Duong, Vietnam Designed by Vo Trong Nghia Co., Ltd architects in Vietnam’s bustling BinhDuong City, the WnW cafe is a safe, peaceful and sustainable haven for workers to escape to. The project consists almost solely of bamboo with a small amount of steel and the V-roof is constructed of thousands of pieces of bamboo. When the project was built, a minimal amount of energy was used due to the use of its primary rich natural material-bamboo.

The use such a traditional material makes an architectural space which is both traditional and yet accessible to a modern lifestyle. The bamboo growth is a fast procedure and a large quantity, can be grown and harvested within 5 years. Consequently, the cost for construction decreases and thanks to traditional treating methods the building will be sustainable yet functional and as a result the total construction value was €65,000 for 1,403 sq m (An unbelievable €45/sq m) . In a busy faceless BinhDuong City society, a building which sources local material and emphasises open space and relaxation is met with a positive reaction.
