Designed by Sweco Paatela Architects Oy, Triangle Hospital, human hospital environment is located in Helsinki, Finland. The form and thus the name of the ‘Triangle Hospital’ building was determined by the very limited lot available for the building in the existing hospital area in downtown Helsinki. The building was designed in accordance with the latest knowledge of sustainability and functional flexibility for any future needs in carrying out it’s task as a modern and functionally effective hospital.
The design was done and the brief developed in very close co-operation with the representatives of the hospital staff to meet all their present needs and with flexibility for the changing future demands. The building represents the latest example of ‘human hospital environment’ with large patient rooms, all with private spacious bathrooms, and modern communication technology for each patient. Many of the rooms have a beautiful view to the sea.
