Crossrail and architecture practice HawkinsBrown have released new images of the proposed £1bn Tottenham Court Road Station project in central London, which will see the integration of the Crossrail service and existing Tube station (currently being extensively redeveloped).

Work on redeveloping the existing Tube station in ongoing, doubling its capacity and vastly expanding the ticket hall making it around six times larger. Once the Tube and Crossrail services are combined, the final Tottenham Court Road Station will be almost a kilometre in length, stretching from Soho to Centre Point with new station entrances at Centre Point featuring large glass elements allowing a high volume of natural light into the station.
