The Carlyle, designs luxury tower that located in Los Angeles, United States, was designed by KMD Architects. One major amenity, made possible by creative space planning and design, was providing dedicated, secure, personal elevator access to each and every condominium unit, whether four units per floor (standard for the first 19 levels), or three units per floor (level 20), or two units per floor (levels 21, 22 and 23). Another special amenity was the 2nd floor dedicated strictly to 2-bedroom suite or office-use condominiums for the less permanent business persons or college students. An outstanding effort provided by the design team was to capture full project entitlements in a record 24-week period, a feat not easily matched in the Los Angeles Design Review Board environment, especially for such a large and prestigious project; the last ‘grandfathered’ luxury high-rise residential tower on the Golden Mile.
