Located in Belgium, Smart grid Laboratory, Genk-Waterschei campus was designed by Atelier Kempe Thill. The building is set-up as a generous and flexible structure based on C2C principles and will be developed as Flanders’ most sustainable building in terms of energy-use and CO2-reduction. The project will be realised together with de co-architects Osar from Antwerp.
Atelier Kempe Thill (AKT) has recently won the European tender for a new smart grid research laboratory and education building for the Catholic University of Leuven at the campus in Genk-Waterschei.
