Was designed by Robert Hidey Architects, that located in California, United States, SeaCrest is a secluded residential build by Robert Hidey Architects, situated in the private community of Crystal Cove, California. The project reflects the American architect’s favour for C-shaped homes, as the structural elements are arranged in interconnected units around a series of sheltered courtyards. On entrance through rich wrought iron gates, residents are welcomed by a hearty fireplace and small covered portico which form a private exterior entry vestibule.
Through a series of arches the first courtyard forms the second transitional space, bordered by the bedroom suites which in turn lead to the main courtyard through an arched portal. This central entry point opens out to reveal a grand internal space lined with yet more arcades and arches.
Whilst the majority of the residence remains on single-storey level, a 3-storey tower provides an additional private retreat from the Master Bedroom suite. At the summit a secluded top-level space showcases panoramic views across the Pacific.
