Designed by McBains Cooper, Santuary Housing Association key workers accommodation is located in Cambridge, United Kingdom. The site is currently occupied by a car park but the scheme will bring 100 apartments and 372 bed spaces to the site. Green features include a heating system using air-based heat exchange, Photovoltaic cells and green and brown roofs. The south-facing aspect of the buildings will feature solarshading.
The development comprises four individual six-storey, brick-clad buildings, featuring timber-clad pods and zinc-clad ground floor. The top three floors of the buildings will be built with a step effect, each floor featuring a green roof.
