The Nokia Flagship store was designed by Eight Inc. is located in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The Nokia Sao Paulo store is located in the shopping district of Garden Avenue on Oscar Freire. The drawing represents an experience customers the most technologically integrated retail today. The interior of translucent walls lit by mood-evoking LEDs above a panorama of liquid crystal displays that allow graphical email editable and customer interaction. Each handset is live and is used to navigate informative graphics on LCD screens. The solution uses a “kit-of-parts” where the LED wall units are prefabricated off site to wrap the perimeter LCD screens and to enable seamless installation. Using LCD screens for conveying the brand helps to reduce wastage mail printed poster, and provides a medium that is globally consistent, but easily modified for local promotions and events. Beyond the product, the store opens to a sunny courtyard with walls of life in green and concrete beams, presenting a striking contrast and a deliberate architectural gesture to Brazil’s natural resources and industrial potential. Equipped with furniture, living room, the courtyard offers a comfortable place to sit and use Nokia devices, and doubles as an event and exhibition space.
