Located in London, Inggris, Independent Design House was designed by ESCLICE. Based on the design of the traditional Latvian barn – a simple form with natural wooden siding and roof – the trio devised a two storey dwelling that can be transported to anywhere in the world on the back of a lorry.
The home comes entirely pre-fitted with interior finishing and furniture, contemporary in design but with the opportunity for owners to personalise their own space. The side walls of the dwellings are constructed using plywood birch panels, whilst the floor and ceilings are covered in ash wood, all easily painted in the owner’s desired style.
