The Hungate mixed-use masterplan designed by John Thompson and Partners is located in York, United Kingdom.  Hungate is a 4 ha site located on the banks of the River Foss, on the south-east edge of York city centre. The mixed-use masterplan was developed by John Thompson & Partners and facilitated by one of the largest community planning processes undertaken in the UK. The new urban neighbourhood will provide 720 new homes within York’s city walls and will include offices, cafés, restaurants, shops and community spaces. City of York Council has recently chosen Hungate as the location for its new headquarters.
