The House 4, Pozuelo de Alarcón designed by A-cero is located in Madrid, Spain. The house’s structure is based on ‘a game of two rectangular volumes’, which have been constructed using high quality materials and sharp, clean lines. Multiple verandas and pergolas across the property provide generous entertaining and relaxation spaces and supply an additional element of personality to the structure’s façade. These interior/exterior areas also aid the blending of the new build and its external environment, as A-cero attempts to create a fluid union between the two spaces.
The 800 sq m that make up the surface of the building subtly develop in height, as the principal access adapts itself to an area of average slope. Internally, the space is split into a foyer, kitchen, dining room, office, larder and seven bedrooms, complete with multiple bath and dressing rooms. There is also a large lounge area that can be opened out into the garden, so that the inhabitants can enjoy the swimming pool and natural scenery offered by the nearby urban development.
