Grahame Park in London, United Kingdom

June 23, 2011 Category: Parks, Urban Design

Designed by Jestico Whiles, Grahame Park is located in London, United Kingdom. The second phase of the regeneration is on a key gateway site near Colindale tube station and will deliver 446 new homes, a library, community centre, housing office, cafe and supermarket. A new public square at the southernmost tip of Grahame Park will create an open and inviting gateway to the development.

The team’s scheme consists of six new buildings plus several infills to retained parts of the estate. Buildings to the north, east and west of the square will have community and retail uses at ground and first floor levels with one, two and three bedroom homes above. The southern side of the square will be defined by landscaping. The buildings to the north of the square will contain homes both for sale and for rent, and are stepped back in a gentle curve to define a new park.
