Gazprom Group Headquarters in St Petersburg, Russia

Gazprom Group Headquarters that located in St Petersburg, Russia, was designed by RMJM. After several revisions the St Petersburg office of RMJM is now considering several options for a renewed site in Lakhta, one of which is a 426m high tower featuring 330,000 sq m of internal space which draws upon the neighbouring landscape including the 18th century palaces of Peterhof and Tsarskoe Selo. The proposed concept shows fluid motions clearly inspired by the stunning water gardens, cascades and fountains displayed at these regal monuments.

The new location for the Gazprom Group Headquarters is a 17 hectare brownfield site on the edge of St Petersburg, formerly used for the industrial storage of sand. RMJM are looking to transform this reclaimed land by creating a highly sustainable tower which ‘is a city-scale landmark that is designed to complement the historical spires of Peter and Paul Cathedral and the Admiralty’.
