Designed by Gensler, Fairmont Pittsburgh is located in Pittsburgh, PA, United States. The hotel brings modern luxury intersecting Pittsburgh’s commercial and cultural corridors. The 185-room hotel celebrates the city’s industrial past and current art scene, revitalising downtown Pittsburgh.

The design team’s task was to deliver an ‘exceedingly’ green hotel, showcasing artifacts excavated during construction and creating an authentic Pittsburgh experience. Guided by the theme ‘Art and Industry’, the design team created interiors that are reflective and respectful of the local community. The 202,000 sq ft hotel features a restaurant, bar, lobby lounge, a 77,000 sq ft spa and fitness centre and 12,000 sq ft meeting space, including a 6,000 sq ft divisible ballroom while guest rooms and suites are situated on the top ten floors of the 24-story-building taking advantage of the surrounding views of downtown Pittsburgh, Mount Washington, PNC ballpark and the Allegheny and Ohio Rivers.
