Erich Sattler Winery, New spirit brought to two existing properties as winery that located in Tadten, Austria, was designed by Architects Collective. Internally, the ground floor takes the shape of a rectangle and the first floor a parallelogram, oriented east and west. Connecting these two forms are a series of spatial diagonals which merge the two units into an overall flowing unit, ‘creating a number of diverse spaces, views and topographies which are relating to the sun, the patio, and the surrounding environment’.
A barrel room takes pride of place on the ground floor, whilst the first floor houses the tasting room, kitchen, offices and guest rooms. Architects Collective has ensured maximum flexibility by creating a large main volume with optional sliding walls and doors to separate the room into smaller, more intimate spaces for events and minor presentations.
