Designed by Levi + Wong Design Associates, D’Youville Center for Advanced Therapy is located in Concord, United States. For the D’Youville Center for Advanced Therapy, Levi + Wong Design’s healthcare planning and interior design incorporated best practices informed by patient centered care and evidenced based design principles to facilitate patient recovery, caregiver assistance, and family participation. The building’s place on the continuum of healthcare is unique as it houses both the D’Youville Center for Advanced Therapy’s short-term transitional rehabilitation and hospice care services, and the New England Rehabilitation Hospital at Lowell’s acute rehabilitation services.

Circulation to each program, located on separate floors, is centralised in the entrance atrium where a connecting stair is dramatised by a cascading glazed wall backdrop. The multipurpose rehabilitation gym’s spatial volume is the streetscape landmark, with glazed openings to admit the healing power of sunlight at peak usage times and to become a nighttime beacon for the wellness community’s campus.
