Castello di Reschio in Lisciano Niccone, Perugia, Italy

April 09, 2011 Category: House, Residential

The Castello di Reschio designed by Count Bolza is located in Lisciano Niccone, Perugia, Italy.  Reschio is a work in progress where the Bolza’s sell the peacefully secluded unrestored farmhouses with adjoining plot of land. Taking the new owners’ wishes into account, they convert them into world-class country homes with meticulous attention to detail and highest standard of craftsmanship. Most of the farmhouses are totally derelict but the freeholds are sold with a fully fledged plan to rebuild on the footprint of the old building that complies with the strict Italian planning rules.

At the heart of the estate, the Bolzas are in the process of creating a Tuscan palazzo with architecturally challenging features as a stunning hand carved solid travertine staircase and traditional plaster vaults. The residence has it all: a grand staircase, porticos, stunning views, vaulted cellar spaces, a tower built with local sandstone, eaves with terra cotta corbels, under floor heating and a pool with an overflow edge.
