The Care for Life designed by BURO II & ARCHI+I is located in Limburg, Netherlands. The masterplan reiterates the central position of the existing castle complex, which acts as a beacon in the surrounding landscape. The historical castle and the boarding school wing have been renovated in the first phase of this two-phase project, alongside the generation of a Grand Café (“‘t Hof van Halingen”) 8 bed & breakfast rooms, 38 care rooms, 41 care flats and 6 care houses.

Additional features also include a central reception area and lobby, with room for general administration and services such as a convenience store, swimming pool and gym, physiotherapy, medical and consultation rooms, laundry facilities and a barbershop. The inner courtyard will function as a meeting place for the residents of both the campus and the town of Velm.
