Boutique Office by Buckley Gray Yeoman in St Helier, Channel Islands

March 16, 2010 Category: Commercial Building, Office

Take inspiration from historic tower, a boutique B1 office building in St Helier, the capital of Jersey in the Channel Islands, was designed by Architect Buckley Gray Yeoman. The brief was to create a showpiece office that would provide a modern, contemporary space for the client, a local surveying business. Architect Richard Buckley recognised the importance of staying true to the architecture design of Jersey, and so took his inspiration from the historic Martello Tower fortification found on the Island. In doing so he combined solid stone work and the lightness of glass.
