Located in Sharm el Sheikh, Egypt, Baia Bianca Hotel was designed by Perkins Eastman and Hassan Allam Properties have designed the Baia Bianca Hotel with a contemporary feel, whilst drawing on a familiar sense of place and context. The design of the hotel takes its inspiration from the simple forms of early architecture on the Sinai, incorporating the colours, patterns, and materials found in the region. White walls adorned with simple openings, pergolas, shutters, and canvas awnings have been included to create a relaxing open space.
The hotel is designed around a series of courtyards, in an effort to provide areas of intimacy and privacy. Guestroom wings are connected by interior courtyards which break up the corridors and create a more personal entrance to each room, while individual guestrooms are organised around a series of outdoor garden courtyards. Each guestroom overlooks either the central Baia Bianca Lagoon or the Sinai Mountains, and each includes a balcony, designed as an extension to the living area.
