Apartment revitalisation by Morato Arquitetura in Belo Horizonte Brazil
This Apartment revitalisation that located in Belo Horizonte – MG, Brazil is Minimalist composition for function, comfort and aesthetics was designed by Morato Arquitetura. This project predominant idea, signed by Ulisses Morato, is the architecture of the essential, the architecture associated with minimal intervention of the maximum visual impact and functional. The functionality here is translated into wide spaces with generous circulation, reduction of furniture with a rational distribution and equipment to facilitate daily maintenance of the apartment. The Comfort is guaranteed by the excellent ergonomics of furniture, soft colors, artificial lighting effectively, combined with good lighting conditions and natural ventilation.
Ornaments and works of art gain visual force due to large empty spaces around them and the background predominantly white. The revitalization of the apartment included the architectural and decorative elements into one project: re-structuring of the layout, furniture design, specification ornaments, Persian blinds, curtains, lighting and finishes. This process is important to ensure the ultimate balance between all the components of environments. The marble floor has given a new polish, the wall won new colors and the ceiling was lowered with patches of plaster board to receive a new light. The lights mark the axle movement to distinguish works of art and ornaments, and allow residents to have countless scenarios to be used by them.
With the spirit of ‘clean modification’, the wall that separated the hall from the elevator from the living room was demolished. In the remaining space, a thin piece of plaster from the ceiling has been inserted with light spots that stand out to the living room. This resource has allowed the recovery of the main entrance, “conduct” and “accommodate” people who come to the apartment.
